Got a goal? Tired of making stupid resolutions only for them to fail you in the end? Well, this post is here to help you create a vision board! I only spent $4 on my board... YES ONLY $4!!! I was inspired by this board on Pinterest, but I went down the more frugal lane and spent 1/4th the amount of the cost they spent.
Here's how:
1. Buy a board from your local Dollar Tree! The board is literally $1. It has to be the board with foam in it!! If you get the regular poster board, it won't work. It will bend easily, so get the foam one. The color won't matter because of Step 2.
2. Go to your local fabric store (I chose Hobby Lobby) and choose a fabric with the pattern you would like your vision board to be. I typically go to the 'CLEARENCE' section because you can find big cut outs of fabric that someone didn't want for a lower price than it originally was sold for. I found the fabric in the above image for only $3!3. You will now need to glue or put the fabric over the board... Whether or not you have duct tape, E6000 craft tube glue or a glue gun at home, this project may cost you a little more than the $4 I spent! Dollar Tree sells duct tape for $1 and the glue guns can be found at any crafting section at a bigger department store like Wal-Mart or Target, or a craft store like Hobby Lobby or JoAnn's depending on where you like to shop it can be a bit pricey, but since I already had a glue gun I used mine so I didn't have to spend more than $4! I put the fabric over the front of the board and flipped it over. I then glued down the fabric to the back of the board with a glue gun (again, duct tape or E6000 glue can be used as well).
4. Let the board dry if you used glue. If you used tape, or the glue has already dried you are now ready to hang your vision board. To hang my board, I nailed each corner with a standard nail. To post the cut outs I will either use my hot glue gun to post or gold flat push pins that I got from the Dollar Tree as well (you can see them posted to my lotto tickets in the image above).
So that's the info behind this inspo in 4 easy steps! :-) If you create one, please please please tag me on IG at @beyondthekurves, I'd like to see how you created yours from this blog post as inspiration!
Thanks for reading,
Until next time.........
