“Beat the Runway” is a fashion show & free concert hosted by 104.5 TheBeat Orlando which goes into a great cause where locals can donate used clothing to Salvation Army and have fun at the same time! The 2nd Annual Beat the Runway fashion show was a whole new experience with a bigger venue at the Orchid Gardens in downtown Orlando, several musical artists and musicians, larger backstage for models to dress and plenty of room for local designers to show off their creations...
The models walked down the runway in fashion created or sponsored by Tinka's Closet, Wildside Co., Tuition Free Clothing, Salvation Army & Hoop Culture! All night long music, drinks, goodie bags, a fun photo booth, giveaways and a few pop up shops were some of the different things offered at the show, while everyone had the chance to mingle and mix while getting a glimpse into the fashion world. To spark music interest, 104.5 The Beat included a musical line up featuring live performances by DJ Khaled's WE DA BEST 1st signed female rapper Steph Lecor with her hit “Saturday” and R&B singer JR Castro with his hit “Get Home” to name a few! I totally enjoyed myself, the entire night was a mix of fabulousness with class. 104.5 The Beat did an amazing job all around!
I had the opportunity to again link up with Luis Ayuso (President & Cofounder) & the Orlando Styling LLC team to dress models for the show (Shoutout to Andrew & Gabriel)! Dressing the models wasn’t as hectic as
last year! The atmosphere was relaxed and very chill. There were more
models selected this year and they all looked gorgeous. During the final
walk we had a little bit of a change during the show but the show still
came out fabulous nonetheless. All of the performers did a great job &
everyone seemed to have the time of their lives so it was a success! I can’t
wait to see if there will be another show next year.
Anyone in the Orlando area be sure to get
in on these events! Even if you don’t want to participate like I have
(volunteering my time) you don’t have to, just come out for support! I had the opportunity to volunteer and dress models, plus I decided to give some gently used items to Salvation Army. I’ll try
my best to post links or info on my Instagram page for upcoming & future events! Be sure
to follow me @beyondthekurves… You never know what difference you can make in
the lives of people when you show up!
Thanks for reading! Until next time.....
