2015 finally.
Yes, I didn't post on the 1st! LOL, but whatever. So far so good, nevertheless! I brought in the New Year at home in bed, if not for a friend waking me up I would've missed the count down! I worked all day on the 31st and although I was debating on going out or either attending church service, I went straight home and slowly but surely ended up falling asleep alongside my nephew! It was great hearing all of the loud bang(s) and boom(s) of all the fireworks to celebrate but I've outgrown celebrating the New Year, I guess it comes with the territory of doing things not so traditional when you spend majority of your time alone.

Enough with getting all sappy with the lonely part of 2015! I'm starting some new beginnings already 3 days into the new year.
I've started teaching myself how to sew, honestly its the best thing I could've started doing. I haven't signed up for a class just yet because I wanted to learn the basics before I went in completely blind to everything associated with my machine. I opened up the box finally about a week before the new year, I started sewing 2 felt squares! Surprisingly, it was simple to thread the machine, but the hard part was to keep the line/pattern straight when sewing so I'm still a work in progress!
From the images posted above you can clearly see that I've already broken a needle. It was traumatizing! I was sewing a zipper on a skirt and because I don't have a steady hand the fabric along with the zipper came into contact with the needle. Shreds of metal flew everywhere, I screamed and that's all she wrote. LOL! By watching YouTube videos I learned how to replace the needle. Also, the machine came with extras.
I'm also trying out button earrings. This trend is really popular as well! Not too many people know how to create them but I've hopped on the train and created a few myself. I love them, from all of the colors and designs, they are very simple to make if you're interested in a pair feel free to contact me and I got you!
So besides working, continuing my education and blogging I'll also be designing things! I seriously can't wait to see what's in store for me in 2015... The past is the past, looking forward to a great future!
