Guess what yall? I’m glad to announce that it’s the one year anniversary of my blog being created! I couldn’t believe it as my alarm sounded this morning to remind me. 1 year ago, I started this blog thinking to myself ‘Damn why didn’t I do this many years ago? Imagine all of the movements that I could’ve been making thus far?’ but then I realize that being better late; is being way better than never. I’m actually proud of what I’ve been doing. I blog here and there but maybe you just follow (or know of) only 1 or 2 of my social networks, I’d like to refresh or introduce my connects online. Today this blog post will introduce you to my many other outlets, also give you a brief explanation of what it is to become a blogger and why I chose to start this wonderful blog of mine.
First things first, do you even know who NakeiaDanielle is?
I am not a fashionista, let’s start off there! I do happen to like fashion; I do like setting trends and dressing the way I want! I’m the type of woman who wears rain boots in 100 degree weather and I don’t care what the next person thinks. I grew up learning that living in a very stereotypical society that people are always going to have something negative to say whether a person likes it or not. I do have thick skin and I am confident but I’m just as human as everybody else. I was born and raised in Florida; I even got the opportunity to live up north for a while but ended up moving back to Florida. I’m currently enrolled into UCF where I plan on seeking a degree in Advertising/Public Relations to one day be a face for a company or even successfully open my own company! I do blog, I do photography, I love to write and even though journalism isn’t a major that I’d like to pursue I do it every day as a push towards what I’d like to do in the future.
Now that you know a bit about who I am… Let’s get into what my blog consists of and where I’m planning on making changes! My blog consists of topics that other women can relate to. Whether it’s me dressing up and showing women what fashion is all about in the Curvy World, reviews for different products or clothing items, posting cute places to shop for Plus Size women or I decide to write things based on something I’ve gone through that can potentially help the next woman. As for changes, I try my best to blog at least a few times per month but now that I’ve gotten my broken laptop up and running again I can start posting regularly (meaning at least twice or more per week). Not only that, I’d like to do more photo shoots including ideas and clothing for Plus Sized women! I’d like to also present a YouTube channel; now that I have a great camera with awesome stabilization so that’s something I’m working on for future blog posts.
In my opinion, it’s not hard to be a blogger if you like to write (knowing proper grammar) and if you like to keep an organized representation of yourself to show to others. Honestly, you don’t even really have to have more than one social media network. Having a blog is just enough to get a movement started! When you have a dream you typically try to go for it no matter what stands in your way. Just know exactly what you’d like to blog about and keep track of the things you plan on posting. Make sure everything is spelled and punctuated correctly and you can definitely get things started. Now whether or not you decide to have tons of social sites, just remember that if you are posting for one site post for the others as well. When you are inactive on other sites it makes it hard for you to keep up the interest in other areas. Especially if your followers have one social network and not the other and they plan on following you.
Speaking of social networks here’s a list of my social media that you can follow to keep up with my movement and with everything dealing with NakeiaDanielle!
