To Review or NOT to Review Anymore?!

This post was going to be about another review. Yes, I was going to post a not so great review for a company but I'll shamelessly plug the company anyway while I talk about the rules that have changed as far as reviewing and what Amazon has done in place of people who review for companies that send them items free (or at a discount) for their opinions on the product.

First of all, when I do my reviews (and I say this every time I do the review but I guess my word means nothing) I do them unbiased. Meaning that I get the item, I thoroughly test it out, I give my honest review and I do keep the item (or give it away based on if I truly like it or need it or not). Lurkers or (as I'd like to call them "haters" or people that have nothing to do with their time all day but try to report people they think are scammers) are always online trying to make people who do honest reviews look like trash. The sad reality is that people do reviews for the free stuff without reviewing, or they do it because "HEY ITS FREE STUFF" why not. I don't knock anyone for reviewing but do it for good intention. If it's not to inform people of what they are about to consume or purchase, then don't review... It's just that simple!

Secondly, I'm getting to the point where it's like what's the point of reviewing if I'm only getting the item. I'm not being paid to review so it's sort of like I work for free to let everyone know about the product, while everyone goes to purchase it and put money in the company's pockets. These companies don't consider the fact that we blog our lives out, we do these videos (which take a while to edit) and write about the product and we end up making these people money while we get this FREE item to post but it doesn't pay the bills? I sometimes feel like I waste my time. I could have been promoting my online Instagram Boutique "@KurveTique" over doing reviews, but I got caught up with reviewing for other businesses that I forgot what I wanted to do for myself. Now that I'm on to these companies who think they are reeling in sales by promotions, I'm starting to fall back with doing reviews. The other thing that made me change my mind big time was Amazon's rules about reviewing. Check the post out here! But basically Amazon only limits the amount of FREE review posts that show up on a company's page. So I'm getting this item, to do a review and I'm sitting and writing out a full review only to realize that my review won't really even be considered if Amazon is filtering what's posted. So why should I even waste my time reviewing? Okay yeah I can be like everyone and say "OH ITS FREE, FORGET THE REVIEW!" but I don't feel like the transactions can be honest if it's not in exchange for anything. I guess you'd have to review items to totally get an understanding about where I'm coming from and how I feel.

I signed up for a couple of sites to do reviews. One site has guidelines to basically fulfill posting items to your social media at a specific time frame. I have a few items that I've been approved for, however I might just end all reviews after I review the latest items I received, just to bow out doing what I said I'd do for each of these companies.

Anywhoo... Here's the plug! It's sort of late but whatever... I GOT THIS ITEM FOR FREE TO REVIEW (just like every other item I've reviewed unless it was at a discount - I'll let you know if I purchased items with my hard earned money!) I'm not feeling these leggings after wearing them a couple of times. These Capri Leggings from 7th Element are high waisted and very stretchy. I gave the company a review of 4 stars, because these leggings aren't extraordinary... They are just like other leggings/jeggings! You can check them out here. I'd never wear them outside my house, these are lounge around pants and not made to be flouncing around out and about. Especially when you have hind parts like mine, it isn't really appealing! LOL. Anyway, if you are interested please go check them out on Amazon!

Thanks for reading... Until next time!
